Memories Preset Pack Vol. I

As a landscape and lifestyle photographer, light and shadow is a major part of my workflow when shooting and ultimately editing photographs. I’ve fallen in love with the simplicity yet complexity of shooting with the absence of color. It forces me to take my time and think more intentionally about my compositions and framing when I am out shooting. 

These presets were meticulously developed over months of trial and error in the field, and this is the final result. 

Included in the pack are three different black and white presets:

• Archive (a perfect monochrome look that works with many different types of photography)
• Journal (a darker and contrasted filter that invokes the feel of classic landscape photography and works best with landscapes or city scenes)
• Quill (a warm, almost sepia-like look that makes scenes feel light and airy, perfect for daytime vistas)

Also included are 9 modifiers that help shape your image into your specific vision.

CONTRAST:

• Flat (keeps the contrast low and lifts shadows)
• Mid Contrast (a fairly even modifier that enhances the overall depth of the image)
• High Contrast (pushes shadows and highlights apart and infuses the image with deep dark tones)

GRAIN:

• Light Grain (just a touch of smooth grain that adds a subtle vintage feel)
• Heavy Grain (adds a healthy dose of grain to your image, but still is smooth enough to work with most shots)
• Sand (rough, heavier grain)

SHARPENING:

• Smooth (lowers base sharpness slightly, resulting in a softer image)
• Sharper (boosts the overall crispness of the photograph)
• Sharpest (for getting the cleanest, sharpest shots)
